Westlake Integrated Watershed Management Plan

In the Westlake Watershed, gently sloped streams and drains carry water eastward towards Lake Manitoba; as a result, any activity affecting water upstream will eventually affect locations downstream.

​Completed in 2014, the the Westlake Integrated Watershed Management Plan was developed in the Westlake Watershed District to guide our activities towards more watershed-based decision-making.  

The plan is a resource for decision-makers to use when addressing issues within the district in order to maintain sustainable and beneficial land use practices.
