Westlake Watershed Speaker Event

We will have a variety of speakers from provincial experts, to ag consultants, to local producers, to funding coordinators present. The target audience for this event is producers in the Westlake Watershed District who are looking to implement new practices on their lands.

This event is meant to give producers in the Westlake Watershed an opportunity to learn about three main practices: 1) Polycropping/Cover Cropping 2) Sod Seeding and other pasture improvement practices 3) Nitrogen Management practices like side-banding and variable rate fertilizer application.

The event will be held at the Ste. Rose Community Hall;  561 1st St S Ste. Rose du Lac, MB

The Westlake Watershed wants to encourage management practices that are beneficial to both producers and the watershed. By holding events like these, we can raise awareness of new practices and the funding opportunities that we offer for implementing them
